report commissioned by the government in 2010 confirmed the existence of caste

well as public spaces. Organisations campaigning for legislation outlawing
caste discrimination have faced varied challenges, revealing the nexus and
widespread coordination between right-wing groups in the UK and India. In this
talk, Mr. Satpal Muman focuses on the history of anti-caste mobilisation in the UK;
the implications this has for politics in the UK and globally, and chart the
possible next steps in this fight for justice.

Ambedkar International Mission in London and the co-founder and Chairman of
Caste Watch UK, a leading charity fighting caste discrimination in the UK. He
